Since 2003, Bonnie Newman Davis, founder and director of the BND Institute of Media and Culture, has trained hundreds of journalism students at universities that include UNC-Chapel Hill, North Carolina A&T State, Hampton, Virginia Union and Virginia Commonwealth. In addition, Ms. Newman Davis, a prolific journalist, writer and editor, has a longtime affiliation with the National Association of Black Journalists and several print and digital media companies and cultural organizations. Her breadth of experience has allowed her and her students to meet and interview leading figures in the arts, business, entertainment, education, politics and social justice.
