Annual Fork Union Day Celebration Returns to Campus of Fork Union Military Academy on September 12

FORK UNION, VA — Fluvanna Leaders for Race & Diversity (FLRD) invites community members and visitors of all ages to the annual Fork Union Day celebration on Saturday, September 12, 2026. The full-day, family-oriented outdoor festival will take place on the grounds of the historic Fork Union Military Academy, located at 4744 James Madison Highway in Fork Union, Virginia.

The festivities kick off at 9:30 AM with the annual Fork Union Day Parade, featuring local businesses, community organizations, marching units, and youth groups. Following the parade, over 100 vendors will line Route 15 offering arts and crafts, community non-profit information, government services, local business showcases, and a dedicated Food Truck Row.

“Fork Union Day is a vibrant tradition built around community, togetherness, and family fun,” said event organizers. “We encourage everyone to bring their lawn chairs, enjoy the live entertainment, sample delicious local food, and support our small businesses and community groups.”

• 2:30 PM: Dance Showcase by Brushwood School of Dance
